Albert Dichy is the Literary Director of the Institut Mémoires de l’édition contemporaine (IMEC), a literary archive and research center in Caen. He is a specialist of Jean Genet, the co-editor of the authors’ complete works for the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade. He has contributed to the critical biography of Jean Genet by Edmund White (Genet: a Biography, Vintage, 1994) and is the author of numerous books and articles among them: Jean Genet, essai de chronologie (BLFC de l’Université de Paris-VII, 1998), La Bataille des Paravents (IMEC, 1991) and the critical edition of Jean Genet’s political works L’Ennemi déclaré (Gallimard, 1991). He is also the co-author of a documentaries: Jean Genet, le vagabond (1991) and Jean Genet, l’écrivain, (1992).
