The Group for Literary Archives and Manuscripts seeks to bring together individuals and organizations responsible for the creation, stewardship, and use of literary archives, with the understanding that these parties have common interests and concerns.

The Group is interdisciplinary, with members including, but not limited to, archivists, curators, printers, publishers, scholars, students, and writers.
